Seward County Gives Week May 4-9, 2024

Seward County Gives works to bring the communities of Seward County together for a week of giving raise awareness and increase funding to for our local nonprofits and civic projects. They have established an easy way for donors to support these programs and projects which benefit Seward County residents and those visiting the area.

During Gives Week there will be several events hosted by these organizations where you will have a chance to learn about their projects. Donations may be made in person at events, at one of the Giving Stations or online through the Seward County Gives Website from May 4th-May 9th.

Yes! Cash or checks are accepted at any Giving Station, event, or by the organization of your choosing. If you would like to give by check, it must be made out to Seward County Gives. Checks written directly to participants will not qualify towards the event. All in in person donations are still subject to a 2.5% administrative fee.

All donations on will be made to the Firespring Foundation; a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization which permits donors to advise a re-granting of their donations to other IRS recognized qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations. Firespring Foundation will re-grant each contribution to the qualifying organization as advised by the donor, retaining 2.9% plus $.30 per transaction for credit card transaction costs. 

Donors have the option of covering this fee, allowing 100% of their gift to be distributed to the qualifying organization.
